Sharon has practiced law with private firms since 1978 as she enjoys the flexibility of being self-employed. She prides herself with her involvement with the legal community, including her Canadian Bar Association membership since 1978, and helping to organise two Bar Association conventions. She also served for a great many years as the Secretary, then Treasurer and then President of the Saskatchewan section of the Saskatchewan CBA Real Property and Wills section and various sub-committees, as well as attending the Family Law section on a regular basis. In February 1987 she completed an intense 40 hour week of Collaborative Training with the Centre for Dispute Resolution and updated this training in 2005 with Palliser Conflict Resolution and has been a member of the Collaborative Lawyers of Saskatchewan (now collaborative Professionals of Saskatchewan) since its inception. Sharon also was a member of and frequently attended meetings of the Regina Estate Planning Council.

Before family commitments entered the picture, Sharon was also very involved not only with the legal community but also volunteered with several local organisations, especially those which were dance related as various forms of dancing, ballet, modern, jazz , tap (and belly dance during law school) were a major hobby. After having two daughters her interests had to expand beyond dance (which was only one priority) to include other activities such as swimming, music, voice, horseback riding, ceramics, acting, competitive cheerleading and competitive soccer as well as competitive dance. Learning about these other activities and organising her two daughters schedules necessitated a 20 year reduction in her volunteering with the legal community. At the moment, Sharon’s 3 biggest hobbies are yoga, watching co-ed soccer and remodelling her house. She has also volunteered to sit on Law Society Discipline Committees and is scheduled to sit on her first one in the spring of 2016.
